 Terminology
A specialized vocabulary of a field, the nomenclature. Terms in terminology have specific definitions within the field, which is not necessarily the same as their meaning in common use.

Concept, notion, abstract term: "conception"
A cognitive unit of meaning — an abstract idea or a mental symbol sometimes defined as a "unit of knowledge," built from other units which act as a concept's characteristics. A concept is typically associated with a corresponding representation in a language or symbology[citation needed] such as a word.

Term
A word or compound word used in a specific context.

Termbase
A structured collection of terms. Termbases are mostly multilingual and include grammatical information about terms in it, also have many different attributes of terms and concepts like definition, source, sub subject, examples of use etc.

Glossary, Lexicon
In termbases context, glossaries and lexicons are termbases with just one language (monolingual termbases).

Synonym
Synonym is also a term. Two terms are synonyms when they have same meaning. When there is multiple terms in one concept in one language then one of those terms is marked as prefferred term and all the others are marked as synonyms.
